Open Library, drawn as an interface

Open Library’s search endpoint returns how many books match “the hobbit” and the first five as an array of records, each with a title, authors, first publish year, edition count, languages and ebook access.

Imago turns that array into a table, choosing the columns by what tells one book from another, and keeps the number of matches beside it.

Free, with or without a key

Imago is free and open source. Bring your own free Gemini or Groq key, or use none. With no key you get the page above, drawn by rules that know no particular API. A key gets you a designed layout. It stays in your browser and goes only to the provider you chose.
